New Affordable 2-Family Homes in East Providence

East Providence Mayor DaSilva and East Providence Councilman Rodericks were joined by RI Housing Secretary Deborah Goddard and others.

Three new affordable two-family homes were unveiled in East Providence, Rhode Island, during a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by local officials and new homeowners. Priced at $239,000, these homes are designed to make homeownership attainable for low- to moderate-income families by including a rental apartment unit that generates income to help cover mortgage costs. Officials highlighted this model as a crucial step in increasing affordable housing options, enabling families to build generational wealth, and potentially paving the way for similar developments across the state.
